Ampthill Festival Programme
You can still download the Ampthill Festival Events Programme for 2003's Festival. It has been produced as an Adobe Acrobat portable document format (PDF) which requires you to have the free Acrobat software on your computer. If you do not have the necessary software, please click here to go to the Adobe website where you can download it. Ampthill Festival's 2003 Gala Day took place on Sunday, 29th June, with many thousands attending on what turned out to be a near perfect day weather-wise. The crowds were entertained from 2pm to 7pm, by a succession of entertainment and musical acts, which included 'What a Palaver' (top 2 pictures). The best float in the Parade of Floats was judged to be the Jack & Jill Nursery float.
The festival was staged by a small band of volunteers (including Chairman, Gary Summerfield, & Treasurer, Doreen Stoddart - shown above bottom right) & if you are interested in becoming involved for 2004, read on!
