June 2004 has once more seen the bunting go up in Ampthill, as the townsfolk make their annual pilgrimage to Ampthill Park to join with the annual festivities on Sunday June 24th, between 2pm & 7pm. This was the 24th Anniversary of the event and included entertainment for all the family, including appearances from ‘Spiderman’ & ‘Charlie Chaplin’. In addition music was provide in to the early evening, by Paul Roberts Jazz Band, the Bonas Brothers & Nonesuch. The events in the park were preceded by a walking procession of young and old in fancy dress, reflecting this year’s theme of ‘Ampthill throughout the Ages’. The prize for best-dressed group went to the Firs Lower School. Altogether this has been yet another successful festival and a credit to the town.
